DRAAN-A SNACK FROM RICE FLOUR
IINGREDIENTS
- Rice Flour-1 kg
- Kashmiri Red Chili Powder-1 tablespoon
- Salt-1 tablespoon
- Walnut-250 grams
- Cumin Seeds-1 tablespoon
- Carom Seeds-1/2 tablespoon
- Asafoetida-1 tablespoon
- Oil-1 liter
STEPS FOR PREPARATION
- Boil the walnuts for few minutes.
- Remove excess of water.
- Wash them thoroughly under the running water.
- Mash coarsely the walnuts.
- Add walnuts and salt in warm water and mix them well.
- Place the flour in a utensil.
- Add Kashmiri red chili powder.
- Add cumin seeds.
- Soak asafoetida in water for some time.
- Add the liquified asafoetida into the flour.
- Add carom seeds.
- Mix all of them properly.
- Knead the flour with the help of water.
- Prepare the dough.
- Make big chunks of dough.
- Make round balls of it with the help of the palms.
- Prepare round shaped rotis of it.
- Bake it on both sides.
- Let them cool for some time.
- Tear them into small pieces.
- Take a large pan.
- Heat the oil in the pan.
- Deep fry the pieces.
- Serve the snack with kahwa or noon chai or Lipton tea or any other beverage.
