CHOKKE BUND
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED
- Cabbage- 1 kg
- Kashmiri Red Chili Powder- 2 tablespoon
- Salt- 1 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds- 1 tablespoon
- Oil- 3 tablespoon
- Asafoetida- 1 teaspoon
- Tamarind- 25 grams
- Fresh Kashmiri Green Chilies- 3
STEPS REQUIRED FOR THE PREPARATION
- Chop the cabbage into large pieces.
- Wash them under running water.
- Remove the excess water.
- Take a frying pan,
- Add oil in it.
- Add cumin seeds.
- Add asafoetida in it.
- Mix them well.
- Add cabbage pieces.
- Mix them well.
- Cover the pan with a cover.
- Lower the flame of the gas stove.
- Cook for few minutes.
- Add salt into it.
- Mix them well.
- Stir fry all of them together.
- Cook till cabbage is done.
- Add Kashmiri red chili powder.
- Soak tamarind in lukewarm water for 15 minutes.
- Mash the tamarind in the same water to get pulp.
- Add this to the cabbage curry.
- Mix well.
- Serve it with rice or rotis.
